Privacy Policy for Digital Skill Squad

Digital Skill Squad (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect your information when you visit digitalskillsquad.com, purchase our digital products, engage us for digital marketing services, contact us, or otherwise interact with us.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our website and services.

1. Who We Are

Digital Skill Squad is a Sole Proprietorship owned and operated by Vivek Kumar (“Data Fiduciary” under Indian law), based in Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh, India, and provides two categories of offerings:

  • Digital products: WordPress plugins, website template kits, and other educational/digital resources sold through our website.
  • Digital marketing services: website design and development, search engine optimization (SEO), and performance marketing / paid advertising management, including running and managing campaigns on Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) and Google Ads on behalf of clients.

This Privacy Policy covers personal data collected through digitalskillsquad.com, whether you are a customer purchasing a digital product, a client engaging our marketing services, or simply a visitor to our website.

2. Information We Collect

  • Billing details
  • Country
  • Payment-related information (processed by secure payment providers)
  • Support requests and messages submitted through forms
  • Purchase history

b) Client / Business Information (for marketing service clients)

If you engage us for website building, SEO, or performance marketing (Meta Ads / Google Ads) services, we may additionally collect:

  • Business name, website URL, and industry details

  • Campaign budgets, targeting preferences, and creative assets you provide
  • Analytics and conversion data from your own website/ad accounts, shared with us for campaign management and reporting

  • Operating system
  • Language preferences
  • Screen resolution
  • Referral URL
  • Pages visited
  • Session duration
  • Click activity
  • Date and time of access

3. Legal Basis for Processing and Consent

We process your personal data primarily on the basis of your clear, informed, and voluntary consent — given when you fill a form, make a purchase, message us on WhatsApp/email, or accept our cookie banner. Where applicable, we may also process data where necessary to perform a contract with you (e.g., delivering a purchased product or agreed service), to comply with a legal obligation, or for other “legitimate uses” permitted under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (such as responding to a request you have voluntarily made).

You may withdraw your consent at any time, with withdrawal being as easy as it was to give consent. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may affect our ability to continue providing certain products or services to you.

Where we rely on cookies/pixels for non-essential purposes (analytics, advertising), such processing occurs only after you accept the relevant category via our cookie consent banner (see Section 4).

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to improve user experience, measure performance, and support advertising.

Cookies help us:

  • Remember preferences
  • Improve website speed
  • Understand visitor behaviour
  • Measure advertising performance
  • Show relevant ads to past visitors (remarketing)
  • Prevent fraud and improve security

On your first visit, we display a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies (such as advertising and analytics cookies). Essential cookies required for the website to function are not subject to this choice.

Visitors may also disable cookies through their browser settings. Some website features and ad personalization may not function properly after disabling cookies. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but honours cookie-consent choices and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where technically supported.

5. Advertising Pixels and Analytics Tools Used on This Website

Because we run our own digital product sales as well as performance marketing campaigns, the following third-party pixels, tags, and analytics tools are active on digitalskillsquad.com:

  • Meta Pixel & Meta Conversions API (CAPI): Deployed by Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure ad performance, build custom/lookalike audiences, and enable retargeting across Facebook and Instagram. Browser-side and server-side events (e.g. page views, purchases, leads) are sent to Meta, matched using hashed identifiers where applicable.
  • Google Ads Conversion Tracking & Remarketing Tag: Used to measure conversions from Google Ads campaigns and to show remarketing ads to past visitors across the Google Search Network, YouTube, and Google Display Network partner sites.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) & Google Tag Manager: Used to understand website traffic, user behaviour, and campaign performance. Google Analytics Advertising Features (including remarketing and audience data) may be enabled.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Used for heatmaps and session behaviour analysis to improve website usability.
  • WooCommerce & CartFlows tracking: Used to track purchase funnels, cart activity, and checkout completion on our own store.

These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, browsing behaviour, and interactions with our ads, in accordance with each provider’s own privacy policy.

6. How Meta and Google Use Your Data (Interest-Based Advertising & Remarketing)

We use Meta Ads and Google Ads, including remarketing / similar-audience features, to show our ads (and, where applicable, our clients’ ads) to people who have previously visited our website or interacted with our content. This works as follows:

  • Third-party vendors, including Meta and Google, may show our ads on websites, apps, and platforms across the internet.
  • These vendors use cookies, pixels, and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on your past visits to our website.
  • We may share event data (such as page views, add-to-cart, purchases, or leads) with Meta and Google for the purpose of ad measurement, optimization, and audience building. We do not knowingly share raw, unhashed personal identifiers such as full names or email addresses through these tags beyond what is required and permitted by Meta’s and Google’s own policies.
  • Meta’s use of information is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta Business Tools Terms, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy and facebook.com/legal/terms/businesstools.
  • Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

How you can opt out:

  • Meta: You can manage or opt out of interest-based ads via Meta’s Ad Preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences).
  • Google: You can opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
  • You may also opt out of interest-based advertising generally via the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).
  • You can disable cookies entirely through your browser settings, though this may affect website functionality.

Your information may be used to:

  • Process purchases and deliver digital products
  • Set up, run, and report on Meta Ads / Google Ads campaigns for clients

10. Digital Product Delivery

After successful payment, customers receive instant access to purchased digital products through a secure, token-based download system. Each download link is tied to a unique, time-limited access token generated at the time of purchase.

Purchase information may be retained to verify ownership, prevent abuse, restore or reissue download access, and provide customer support. Order and delivery data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except as needed to fulfil your order.

11. Data We Process for Marketing Service Clients

When you engage us for website building, SEO, or Meta Ads/Google Ads management, we act on your behalf using access you grant us (e.g., ad account, Business Manager, Google Analytics/Search Console, or website admin access).

  • We use this access solely to deliver the agreed services (campaign setup, optimization, reporting, website/SEO work).
  • We do not sell or share your business data, ad account data, or customer data with unrelated third parties.
  • Access credentials and campaign data are stored securely and access is limited to those working on your account.
  • Upon completion or termination of services, access may be revoked and data retained only as needed for records, invoicing, or legal compliance.

12. Testimonials and Reviews

With your explicit permission, we may display your name, business name, and feedback as a testimonial or case study on our website or marketing materials. You may request removal of any testimonial at any time by contacting us.

Where we engage a service provider (data processor) to process personal data on our behalf, we require them to implement appropriate security safeguards and to process data only for the specified purpose, consistent with the DPDP Act, 2023. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

16. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will take reasonable steps to contain and remediate the breach without undue delay. Where required under the DPDP Rules, 2025, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals, describing the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the steps being taken, within the timelines prescribed by law.
